"Go easy on the scientific method. I'd rather consult with the shamans, native americans, indigenous tribal populations, and the females of the species, to nurture, love, care and protect.. than to begin another rush for technological advancement. They managed just fine for 500,000 years without playing God. Then came technological development. That's when all the problems started. You cannot see, understand, or measure everything, scientific method cannot take this into account, or look at the bigger picture/holistic 'everything is connected' principal. Scientific method is an isolated ignorance upon what we can immediately detect with our limited means. If someone wants to create something like aspartame in the lab, how do you expect to know what the effects of it upon our eco system, bodies, cells, brains, will be in 100 years time? We'e watched species go extinct as we play around with more imbalances of the eco system. And the current measure for testing is inhumane to animals and "
