"I've never had faith that the society I've been brought up in, is how life should be lived. I'm 19 years old, I have a job. I dislike it. I don't believe the work I'm doing can be good for anyone accept corporations such as rio tinto, chevron, woodside etc., as my hotel houses them. I am very tempted, to earn only the money I need and live life freely. I am near a very natural place in Australia, and obtaining food, such as fish, yams, vegetables and herbs is very easy. I keep telling myself, only 3 more years. I wish these 3 years would move along faster. However, these 3 years aren't my only problem. I have social pressures, such as family and friends who tell me how wonderful it is I'm employed. I feel sorry for my parents especially, who, are brain washed. Their lifestyles have become increasingly unhealthy with the stresses of work, and even I'm starting to notice a change in my eating and sleeping habits. The way we live, is not natural. I no longer want to be a slave to money."
