"An argument I hear against this idea is: why will anyone bother to work if they can get everything for free - because your friends and loved ones will suffer slightly from every person that doesn't contribute and your friends and loved ones that are contributing will frown upon you. The reason this won't happen (until society collapses and rebuilds itself maybe) is that the people who stand to lose their wealth and power over other people are the ones who have the power to instigate the changes needed."
