"Every day, I sit around, smoking and joking with other soldiers, pitying them; almost feeling disgusted by the strangle-hold Mother Culture has on their minds. With all those brains, it saddens me that there isn't a larger collection of ideas. All of them fall on the same, standard assumptions, which are, for the most part, false. And, the fact that most people base their self-image on false pretenses makes me nervous for them, because, at some point, their self-image will be warped or completely shattered, and they'll have to start back at square one, like I did so many years ago. People waste 12+ years in school learning standardized garbage, and, for most people, the rest of their lives believing it, and building upon it."
