"I 'agreed' on point 8 because otherwise I couldn't sign this charter, but I fear it may be a little ambiguous regarding something concerning the way we look at science and technology (although I imagine the good interpretation might be implicit, but I want to point this out): science and technology are useful to mankind and can be the greatest tools to improve life on this planet for us and every other living being, tools for freedom indeed, only if and when they don't become god-like concepts, because we must admit that in our history they have ALSO been some of the basics on which our detachment from natural life (in our mind, soul and effective evolution) has taken place. We must find something else, like a counterbalance -which can NEVER be religion- to match their use for the common good. I hope I'm clear, english is not my mother tongue!"
