"Whilst the Charter is a noble and logical next step in the evolution of the species and the protection of the environment it is somewhat ahead of its time. Additionally some of the concepts are rather simplistically expressed and do not seem to take account of real, extant human nature and behaviour. Such behaviour is what makes us the dominant species on this planet and cannot simply be discarded without very significant elemental change from within. These changes can only come about through education. Given that the current education system in most countries is aimed at preserving the status quo for those few at the top, it would seem to be difficult in the extreme to bring about any real change without cutting the link between education and (wage) slavery. In order to do that, there is only one non-violent option: the setting up of an alternative society. One such experimental society springs to mind: Damanhur."
