"There may need to be some means of creating a sense of obligation to encourage the minority of people to take part and contribute who might not willingly do so. Also, many people need some type of extra motivation to out-perform others and go beyond normal expectations, and in a no money society this might be in the form of prestige, notoriety, better living space, credits for higher quality food, or credits for what are currently "high priced" items in today's society."
