"I want to live in a world where I feel that I am free and not feeling like I'm working only to make ends meet while a selected few is getting richer by the minute. I'm happy with what I've got cause at least I know I'm living a happy life having food on the table, the technology I need and want and amazing people around me to share my life with. But living in London I see people every day who've got nothing and I'm trying to give as much as I can to those who need it more than me. The world today is unfair and it's making me angry and frustrated. I've been looking for something like this, I want to make a change for the better in any way I can. I'm happy to see that there are people out there who's feeling the same way I do. I believe that the human race is good and strong enough to make this change happen. This is making me so happy, thank you. "

"I am looking for purpose in my travels and before reading this I would have just said I am a traveler who likes spending time with locals rather than hotels. But reflecting on my life and philosophies, as well as looking at the charter I believe I am a free world apprentice and these are goals that can help me on my way and keep my purpose in check. Also, a note on man made borders and citizenship. I am Australian, but my father was born in Ireland and hasn't been back in 52 years. This is my first day in Ireland although I have technically been a citizen for over 3 years, through holding a passport. I believe I am in a lucky and privileged position and think that more of the world's people should be able to travel as freely to as many countries as I can. I have selected Ireland, as this is the country I will reside in for the next 16 days."

"I'm not sure what is meant by 'no obligation' in the 6th principle. I agree that the world needs to find a way to cooperate and become a global community that operates with similar goals and values, but isn't it in human nature to be selfish if things aren't easy? How can this change be made without asking people to sacrifice and recognize the greater good that could come of it in the long run? Community members should be obligated to something or their freedoms will consume them with their past understanding of how society is probably just easier with money because that is the way it progressed. Basically, I'm worried that people won't have the will power to dedicate themselves to ideals such as these. Although I agree they are necessary and hopefully inevitable, how do we get people to stay on board?"

"I have been ruminating over similar notions for a couple of years now, and glad to see that I am not alone. Although I have a few minor points of contention, I agree with the overall spirit of the Free World Charter. If you have not already done so, I think St. Francis of Assisi deserves much credit as the first European to embrace and implement the ideas embodied in the Charter. Born into a life of great expectations, Francis transformed himself from a self-focused wealthy youth eager to achieve knightly honor and a privileged courtly life, to a man who renounces his family and fortune and, in his words, marries Lady Poverty. His life deserves study in context of the Charter. After all, Francis was very successful in convincing thousands to follow his example of life without money, including those who were formerly part of the wealthy and ruling classes. "
